Our alpine garden club is all about having fun and laughter while sharing information on alpine flowers and plants and how to grow them on Vancouver Island, BC. We bring in interesting and informative speakers, provide planting demonstrations and workshops, have alpine and rock garden plant sales and much more.

We invite you to check back often to see what we’re up to and JOIN us in person to learn about these fascinating plants. We welcome drop-ins and guests and are happy to answer questions.

No more meetings in 2019 but keep checking back for next year's exciting schedule!

The Rock Gardening Community has lost
a special friend when Rex Murfitt passed
away on August 17, 2019 at 92 years of age.
Rex was born in England and during World War II, as a youth, he farmed vegetables as part of the war effort. He trained as a nurseryman and later specialized in alpine plants, authoring 2 books on alpine gardening. He was always willing to share his knowledge and love of gardening with the many visitors who came to see his alpine garden in Victoria. He will be sadly missed.
