Dr Richard Hebda  is Curator Emeritus (Botany and Earth History) at the Royal British Columbia Museum. 
He will be speaking on 'Winter Jewels: Snowdrops and other Bulbs for our winter gardens, how to grow them and arrange them to best effect. There will be Snowdrops for sale.

Zac is a professional Landscaper from the Comox Valley running his own business "Plants I Dig Landscaping & Consulting"

October 7, 2019 - Bernie Dinter - speaking on Miniature Conifers

Bernie Dinter has owned Dinter Nursery for 43 years. He started with a degree in Plant Science from the UBC Department of Agriculture.   There will be miniature and dwarf conifers available for sale after the meeting.

October 28, 2019 - Jeff de Jong- speaking on Trough Gardening
Jeff de Jong is a Horticultural Instructor who teaches at the University of Victoria  who is passionate about gardens everywhere and often leads tours to locations around the world. He will be talking about Trough garden design while demonstrating different techniques.
                                                                                                                      

April 29, 2019 -  David Sellars will be speaking on "The Crowning Glory of the Big Horn Mountains"

​June 10, 2019 -   Marcela Fereyra will be speaking on the Best Flowers of Patagonia
Marcela is an expert on the flora of Patagonia. She is author of “High Mountain Flowers of the Patagonian Andes” and has published numerous other articles. She was Professor of Biological Sciences at two universities from 1982 to her retirement in 2018. She has led numerous floral tours in the area and shared her expertise at conferences such as the NARGS one at Steamboat Springs, Colorado.                       

March 25, 2019 - Don McWatt will be speaking on Cyclamen and other specialty plants - Don McWatt was the owner of Island Specialty Nursery in Chemainus and has extensive experience and knowledge. He will be bringing plants for display and for sale.
